Good Stuff!
A little vain, but a good listen when you got nothin else to do. I bought this cd right when it came out for the song regulate. And Over the years I have found that many other songs are great on here as well. Ive never seen the movie, but the music is good! Whats this about songs being deleted? omitting tupac songs from this is a blunder, but there were probably monetary reasons behind it. oh well… live by the sword, die by the sword. i think i will see the movie now. God bless internet!

BULLSHIT!
I can’t believe they omitted Pain and Loyal To The Game by Tupac. Those songs (especially Pain) where the songs that attracted me to this album. And they didn’t even make up for this by releasing them on his greatest hits album. Either they release those songs or i’ve got a good mind to start selling copies out of my car.

But aside from that there’s some very good songs here. The standouts are Pour Out A Little Liquor, Regulate, Afro Puffs, Big Pimpin, Dogg Pound 4 Life and Gonna Give It Ta Ya

Death Row’s Secret Second Talent: Soundtracks
The Row was on a roll in 94 with two soundtracks that were above average. The first is “Above the Rim”. Pain - by Pac is just another example of how Pac could express his pain and demons as well as the pain of others. Regulate was the hit on this album. It put Warren G on the map. Other standouts are Big Pimpin, Dogg Pound for Life, Old Time’s Sake, Afro Puffs, Pour Out A Little Liquor, and Blowed Away.

When Soundtracks Were Something Special
Death Row sure knew how to put a soundtrack together - those were the days and this one did not disappoint. Hits from beginning to end from just the right mix of artists (SWV - 2Pac - Tha Dogg Pound - Warren G just to name a few). This is one of the better soundtracks out there pick it up if you don’t already have it.

Best Ever
has to be the best soundtrack ever…this album is what got me to listen to rap music. The first time I heard “Regulate” I was hooked..I got the tape when it first came out and wore it out. If you listen to rap music and are a fan of rap from the 90’s…buy this album

An Excellent Toaster Oven
Ignore the two bad reviews - this is a top notch toaster oven. Yes, the bake cycle is preset to start at 500 degrees and 30 min. but it’s EASY to set it to the time and temp you want if you just READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL! Yes, it beeps but no way is it an “ear splitting” beep that will wake up the whole house.

This is our second Krups toaster oven. The first one gave us 6 years of dependable daily use before it quit heating. We use it for everything that will taste better hot and crunchy instead of microwave soggy. We especially love this oven because it toasts all sizes of bread, rolls, frozen waffles and pastry to the level of brown you select. You can easily see if the food is browning to your liking through the large glass door. You can’t do that with a regular toaster! If speed is important, you should know that making toast in a toaster oven will take a little longer.

This oven only uses 1350 watts - so much more energy efficient than heating up a big oven, especially in the summertime. Handy to use, easy to clean, looks really nice on the countertop, I love it.

BEEP
I agree with the other reviewer on all of the points he made. The poor user interface is kind of annoying, but I would probably have kept this toaster oven if it weren’t for the beep. Every time you push a button, the toaster makes an ear-splitting beep that sounds like it’s happening in the middle of your skull. Then it beeps about 3 or 4 times when it’s finished cooking. If you use your toaster oven to…make toast in the morning, or cook while anyone else in the house is sleeping, it will wake everyone up. So that cuts out late night snacks and breakfast prep on the toaster. The beep alone was enough to get me to return it.

from zero to 500F…always
The Krups sounds convenient, but if you need ease of use and safety, do not buy this! It is pre-set to 500F temp and 30 minute cooktime as the DEFAULT settings for bake, broil AND convection modes. The timer defaults back to 30 minutes. The digital display isn’t labeled for easy reading. The temperature is not easy to adjust. The toaster setting automatically goes to Medium, is pre-set for timing and it is not intuitive or easy to set intermediate degrees for doneness or toasting. The wire rack is set in one position only, close to the base heating element, so toast will always be darker on one side than the other. Not worth the money, even though I got the unit for FREE - am returning it to Krups. Does not meet the standards for easy or safe operation that I associate with the Krups brand.

Predictable chick flick
Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) is a Hollywood producer who’s just gotten her heart broken; Iris Simkins (Kate Winslet) lives in England and is also at the losing end of a romance. Both ladies are miserable and decide to get away from home for Christmas. They find each other on an online house-switch site and before you can say “I know how this is going to end!” Amanda is living in a cozy English cottage and Iris is ensconced in a luxurious LA mansion. And you’ll never guess what happens next. (Okay, you will guess - in about half a minute.)

Diaz, Winslet, and co-stars Jude Law and Jack Black are all fine here, looking beautiful and clever and giving sincere performances. It’s not their fault that the script is so predictable and corny with no room for WHY these new loves blossom so quickly, so blissfully, and so conveniently, considering the women are emotionally wounded and would need some time to heal and the men are not looking for relationships. And what exactly are the odds of meeting your dream mate within hours of moving to a foreign country? Eli Wallach gives a winning performance as a doddering old scriptwriter befriended by Iris, but again, it’s all too perfect; there’s no question that they will become instant buddies and that their lives will both be enriched by their friendship.

If I were a woman in the 18-26 target group, I’d probably love this movie and even shed a few tears at it; as it is, I just kept thinking, “Well, there’s five hours of my life I’ll never get back.” (What? It’s only 136 minutes? Impossible! I thought it would never end.)

Warm cocoa will flow through your veins watching this
If you are an “Under The Tuscan Sun” fan you’ll want to add this one to your chick flick collection. It gets better and better with each viewing (great to watch in bed, especially if you are an insomniac). Nancy Meyers is just a genius at adding the perfect complimentary music to her films. There’s an atmosphere to the whole thing. If only to watch the brilliant, BRILLIANT Kate Winslet act, you should get it. First time I saw the movie I thought Diaz was a little broad but the more I watch it the more I am impressed by her and appreciate her comedic talents. Jude Law, yummy. Not sure why Meyers cast Jack Black, but he delivers. This DVD is a no brainer to buy if you have even the slightest hint of a romantic bone in your body.

This one made me cry
Have you ever had a moment in your life where things have dramatically changed? And you didn’t know how you were going to pick yourself up? Well I happened to catch this movie half way through when a relationship literally came to an end. This movie has to be one of the most heart mending movies I’ve ever seen. Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black are very enjoyable in this. It’s so great to see Jack Black in a serious love interest role. If I had never seen this movie, I would’ve never believed he could pull this off. This movie will warm your heart no matter where you are in life.

The Holiday
I just adore this movie and found myself surfing around during the holidays to see it. Much easier now to have it at the ready.

Another great one for the Christmas collection!!
I am an avid collector of movies for my Christmas collection. My wife got me started on this movie, and I have to say it was a VERY nice surprise. When it came out, I thought it was just a ‘Chick Flick’. It is a romance, but everybody can enjoy this one.

As for the collection, I always ask myself if a Christmas movie is one that I should add, will I watch it every year, is the story a good Christmas movie, etc.? ‘The Holiday’ is definitely one if you like keeping a box of movies that gets pulled out around Thanksgiving every year!

Don’t let the low price fool you either. It is a great deal for a great movie.
