Sex and drugs and rock and roll!
I originally bought this album in 1979. A classic then, a classic now!

Ian Dury was an extremely intelligent, talented and witty songwriter. ‘New boots and Panties’ was never going to get popular radio airplay, the subject matter generally too risque.

This is working class music at it’s best.

I was a bit disappointed ‘Clever [...]!’ wasn’t included from the original album, but, oh well, still excellent.

Reasons to be Cheerful
Ian’s death certainly left a void in the music world. Ian introduced a break-water ripple to the new wave scene. That is, Ian is the master of good fun “pub punk.” What Benny Hill is to British comedy; Ian Dury is to music — cleverly provacative and entertaining. Ian Dury employed a mixture of lyrics and music to generate songs that either increased awareness on a social issue (such as “Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll”) or were simple pub tunes to cheer you up — such as “Reasons to be Cheerful” and “Hit Me With Your Rhythum Stick.” This CD features rarities of some of Ian’s classis. You will love the way Ian effectively uses his deep voice to create the English “pub singer” atmosphere. True, Ian’s voice is “limited.” But, he uses it to absolute perfection. I definitely recommend this CD. After one listen, you will be hooked on Ian Dury and the Block Heads.

    excellent quality and sound
    excellent, very nice product, only the 30 gb video don;t work with the remote control, the ipod nano works well with the remote, the light of the clock could be less bright.

    Excellent radio clock with good sound too
    I have had this product for 4 weeks now and I am very happy with it! Has everything you are looking for in an alarm clock- 2 separate alarms,options to wake up to buzzer, radio or ipod with adjustable alarm volumes, sleep timer. The radio reception is very good and the sound is really respectable. Easy to set up and use. Only negative- the brightness of the display- even the low option is a little too much but it is something I can totally live with.

    Just purcahsed ICF-C1iPMK2 from Target. Sound is fine for clock radio and backlight quite bearable. Previous reviewer reported not working with covered ipod but this one is fine. I beleive they may have modified for iphone use. Target price is 99.00.

    Great except for iPhone use!
    I really enjoy using this product. A perfect toy for the bedroom. The sound quality is great with Radio as well as with the ipod and iphone. My only gripe is that iPhone needs to be in airplane mode in order to work with this product. I have slowly phased out my use of iPod and mostly use iPhone for my music and everything else and if i am at home then i want to be able to get calls when i am listening to music.

    Besides that, its a sold product with good features and good sound. At around $100 from Target, its a good buy.

    Flip reverse is probably the best i have heard of blazin squad (we just be dreaming was good too except the lyrics which gave away their age). Flip Reverse came on mtv and i automaticaly thought it was Nelly as it has the same sound. I guess the one giveaway that it was not nelly is the british accents which are so clear. Anyway enjoy, well worth it.

    On time as described
    The item was shipped immediately after placing the order. Everything was as described in the item description.

    Very good beginner’s filter package
    Very economical filter kit. Good quality glass filter. The filter holder and cleaning accessory kit are very useful.

    Inexpensive but not well made
    I bought the 72mm Hoya UV haze and circular polarizer. The metal ring was separated from the glass on the UV filter when I took it out of the package. Although I was able to connect the ring with the glass, its pretty fragile. I haven’t taken the circ polarizer out of the package yet so I’m not sure of its condition.

    Good value for the money, but if I’d had more to spend at the time, of course I’d have gotten B+W.

    NO LONGER MAKING APS CAMERAS?
    Yes, it’s true! I bought this camera a few days ago and I went to Meijer to get film for it amd could’nt find any APS film! So I asked the person working there who could only say they havn’t gotten any in the last few shippments. So I went to a camera store and their display of APS film was pittiful, only single rolls for $4.50 each! So I asked are they going to stop making APS film? The clerk said yes! She said everyone is going to digital. Whatever! I wish I had known this before I opened the box and lost the owners manual.

    Good compact camera.
    My friend borrowed this camera from me and just loved it. So far I have not heard a complaint. When I do use it myself, I shall let readers know.

    Love this camera
    … i recieved it yesterday. I love it! Its easy to use and is tiny. The buttons are not too small…. The zoom is great. It has a remote and this cute little mirror that goes on top so you can take self-portrates. The flash is very strong… I would compare this camera to an Elph, but with better zoom and a remote.
