Should be a Reading Requirement
This book should be required reading for all Americans. In a practical non-preachy style, you’ll be inspired to be greener! I was amazed at the simple things I can do to decrease my footprint, many without much of a sacrifice. The book is written in sections (such as beauty, home, shopping, travel, sports etc.)which provide simple steps to live more eco-friendly. Tons of interesting facts are presented. You’ll be amazed at the types of things you shouldn’t be using or doing. I already have my list of 5 things I can start doing today!

hated this book, unless you’re a tree hugger, don’t bother
And no to say that it’s bad being a tree hugger - it’s not, but this in an impractical book for everyday living. For every suggestion (there are hundreds) it tells you “if everyone did this in America it would save blah blah blah”. Some of these blah blah’s are eye opening, but many of them caused my eyes to roll.

They suggest you buy shoes with recycled soles…..seriously. Where do you find shoes with recycled soles? Many many suggestions are repeated throughout the book. Just about every section recommends CFL’s and to recycle anything recyclable, turn off lights and unplug items….over and over and over again.

As a matter of fact, go ahead and read the last few sentences, and you’ve read the book. I recommend Save Money, Save Energy. Much better.

Great book!
Easy to read, especially if you don’t have a lot of time, it’s in sections for convenience!

Finally a great, and easy sustainable book to read
Great book for understanding environmental issues and how to address them in a daily perspective. This is a mighty fine way to interpret the kind of footprint we all leave and how to minimize such. Very informative on issues we hardly think about, and yet pose a threat to the environment if not carefully managed. The book is worth every single dollar!

Good for the environment, bad for your wallet
Great premise. Easy to read. Divided into chapters such as health and beauty, home, etc. Great practical tips on how to help the environment. However, some of the tips won’t help your wallet. ie. get voicemail instead of an answering machine. Voicemail is about $20 a month so $240/year while an answering machine is $60 one time purchase.

    Customer Reviews:
    Addicting
Started playing passively at a friend’s house. Wanted to play at home. Bought it (Battlechest is a smart buy), set up an account, and haven’t looked back.

Friends don’t let friends play World of Warcraft
This game is really, really addictive. The sad thing is it’s only moderatly fun because it get’s very repetitive. You will find yourself wasting tons of time on this game, and when you’re not playing and you’re at school or work, you will be thinking about playing it as soon as you get home. Buyer beware this game is worse than nicotine and crack combined. . . friends don’t let friends play WoW . . .

    Stay away from wowcrack!!
This game is very addictive and you will invest a lot of time in this game. I’ve played for over 3 years and have always been at the top of my game. My husband and son are much more casual players, but it can be difficult at times even then to pull them away from the computer for dinner, etc. When you are playing.. and going into an “instance” you are in there with 4-24 other human players and you all must work as a team to defeat the monsters. Some of these can take longer than 8 hours to accomplish. (And Yes, there are LOTS of people on this game from the time they wake up until they fall asleep at their keyboard.) If you have LOTS of time to waste away, buy this game. It will keep you entertained. The addictiveness is VERY HIGH. See www.wowdetox.com

Also, there is a monthly subscription charge of $14.99 after you purchase this set.

Cookie cutter MMO. Stale & Boring
If you’re looking for a good single player game, or enjoy sitting aorund for hours talking to people you don’t know on the internet, WoW might be right for you. Otherwise steer clear and save yourself a boatload of cash.

Leveling up to 70 can be fun, there is enough to do to avoid grinding at least with your first character. Once you’re there though, the game screeches to a bloody halt.

PvP is lackluster, pointless, and wholly unenjoyable.

Raids are enjoyable if you like sitting around for hours.

Every character in late game is identical both in equipment and abilities for a given class.

Blizzard also decided to completely ruin Warcraft’s back story too.

    Play something else.

    Ok deal, good game
    The Deal:

The price is a deal, because you are getting both wow and the expansion right + 2 guides. Well to tell you the truth the guides arent worth much. They tell you some WOW edicate, and some general information. All of this information is available on the internet and probably in the manual. If this battlechest wasnt cheaper than the WOW and the expansion alone, then I wouldnt recommend it.

    The Game:

No matter what anyone says this game is still a grind. Grind to get your levels. Eventually you are going to be required to group with others, so be prepared to. These seem to be the really only bad qualities. The good side is that it has more features than most mmos. There are battlegrounds to fight other players, tons of variety in monsters, very pretty scenery, tons of variety in every way. Besides these factors, the world is huge, and once you travel to a place you can fly a griffin back (really cheap), which save huge amounts of time.

    Excellent movie, But
Excellent all-rounded movie depicting both history and the very good performances of both Fiennes and Siddig. The flaw in the movie is the very weak Arabic of Siddig and other arabic speaking characters in the movie.

    A Fantastic Sequel to LoA………!!
Although quite a rare film to get a hold of now & out of print, this is one of Ralph Fiennes early successes on the big screen. Although playing our GREAT hero Lawrence completely differently to Peter O’Toole, I think Ralph does a wonderful job of portraying Lawrence’s personality (assuming all that we read is true of this iconic legend?)

The story here is about what happened after the defeat of the Turks in Transjordan and what the Ottoman Empire was then. How the great expanse of this area was split up, why it was split up & who were involved in the [fatal?] decision making behind creating the countries that exist in the Middle East today. It will probably help you understand the present conflicts out there and may get you to question whether what happened was in the true interests of those living there? Namely Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon & Saudi Arabia.

As Ralph discovers half way through the film it’s all about power, money & of course Oil.

Not as long as “Lawrence of Arabia” it is worth its weight in gold as it compliments the original film.

    T. E. Lawrence in Paris . . .
Picking up where “Lawrence of Arabia” left off, this film focuses on the political maneuverings among the French, English, and Americans following World War I, as they gather in Paris to divide up the world according to their colonial interests. T. E. Lawrence and the Arab prince Faisal, who fought together against the Turks during the war, attempt to preserve the new-won independence for the Arabs, but they are out-maneuvered at nearly every turn by the British, who with the help of the French, have plans to fold much of Arabia into the Empire.

Since we know from the start that Lawrence fails in his efforts, the film becomes a character study of a man without the political leverage to gain his objectives, while deeply conflicted by a personal history that makes his efforts seem desperate and painful. Meanwhile, those pitted against him are quick to show their scorn, using his illegitimate birth and his humble origins in an attempt to humiliate and intimidate him. In response, Lawrence employs his cutting wit, his intelligence, and a kind of reckless bravado to hold his own against them until circumstances and exhaustion finally wear him down.

Compared to Peter O’Toole’s performance in “Lawrence of Arabia,” Ralph Fiennes gives us a less glamorized portrayal of the man who seems driven by both over-confidence and self-doubt. The giggly grin during moments of pressure reveals a barely concealed uncertainty, even when he is playing hardball with his adversaries. It’s clear that he is most at ease with his only compatriot, Faisal, whom he loves, while at the same time using him like a pawn in a game he seems to be playing for his own ends. It’s a wonderfully complex performance set against a key moment in European and Middle East history with ramifications that fill the news today, almost 90 years later.

A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia
The sequel to David Lean’s “Lawrence of Arabia” with Ralph Fiennes reprising Peter O’Toole’s role as the protagonist. A good portrait of the aftermath of WWI and the diplomatic wrangling of the Paris Peace Conference of 1919. France and Great Britain decide how to divvy up the Near East after the demise of the Ottoman Empire. Notable figures include Gertrude Bell, Winston Chrurchill, and Woodrow Wilson.

    Historically Accurate
Being a student of TE Lawrence, I particularly enjoyed this movie about the Paris Peace Conference post WW I British-French handling of Arabia. Ralph Fiennes was wonderful in the role of Lawrence. His physical stance, body language, facial expressions and voice were as history describes TEL. This movie was subtle, sets and costumes historically accurate and famous figures very well cast. It would be of interest to history lovers, specifically of this era, even who knew nothing about the specific subject. However, knowing the facts probably does add to the appreciation of the movie. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in TE Lawrence and/or the history of Arabia and the Middle East.

    Why No 6-Pack?
The Epson 79 Black Claria Hi-Definition Ink cartridge is of a high quality ink and with the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer does print a impressive photo…one of the problems I have is why Epson does not have an option to sell a six pack of the Epson 79 Claria Hi-Definition Inks that are required for the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer? The second problem I have is the high cost of these Epson 79 Claria Hi-Definition Ink cartridges especially having to buy the ink cartridges seperately.

What COULD have been the best Need For Speed…
As far as gameplay, this game delivers on several platforms really pushing the player to their arcade racing abilities. this could have been the best Need For Speed ever but there are several aspects that started to annoy me. the first thing is that when you actually do finish the game, even 100%, you do not get the then named Audi LeMans Quattro (R8), you don’t even get to choose any prizes from the “boss” at the end like everyone else! there are also cars and objects that you HAVE to play online games to get! one of my main arguements against this game is that once a race is over the prize money DRAMATICALLY reduces! this makes it next to impossible to buy a new car….actually it just takes FOR-EV-ER! this game has next to no replay value whatsoever. as much fun as this game is once you DO fully modify a super car, it ends pretty much directly after.

    excellent game
Excellent game, so fun , perfect images. and easy and hard races. you will enjoy it

    BORING, Next!!!
Get A Better Game This Game Has No Fun At All Looks Like Ps2 Graphics And The Cars Are Slow.

    Fun, but a little disappointing
The first time through was pretty fun, but it was over too quickly - and forget playing through a second time (at least I had no interest). Part of the reason I got this was my understanding that you can unlock the Audi R8. You can, but you don’t actually have free use of it - really idiotic in my opinion. Graphics were decent, but not really next-gen. Car selection and customization was pretty good.

    Not Bad
It is a fun driving game. Though it would be better if they updated it to use the motion sensor in the PS3 controller.
