Excellent and Beautiful
Purchased this for my fiance. He absolutely loves it. Great quality, arrived quickly. We had looked around for Movado watches - and really liked the Luno watch. It is absolutely stunning on… my fiance comments all the time on how much he likes it. (You can get the back engraved too if you wish.)

Amazon was offering the best price (the department stores we went to were asking twice this listed price). Although I found a few other online stores offering around the same price, I have purchased over 50 items from Amazon and trust their services (and have always had quality service from them).

Great Watch
Hey look guys this watch is a great piece of time whether you buy this in the jewerly store or on amazon. Don’t get me wrong if you buy this watch on amazon its a really good deal $wise but if your into warranties then I would recommed a jewelery store because everything is covered. So whether its amazon or jeweler get this watch if you can afford it, trust me its a certified go getter and it will make you very popular with your friends and the ladies. Enjoy everyone

Fine Watch, Great Crystal, Soft-ish band
First of all, I actually got the silver dial version (which is a sliver cheaper), but Amazon isn’t allowing me to review that one for some reason. Other than the color of the dial, it’s the exact same watch as this one shown.

It’s a beautiful design. Simple, elegant, and hot.

Reliability is also a big plus with Movado. I have a wind-up Movado pocketwach from 1905, and it keeps better time than a Seiko I had a few years ago. Generally, if you take care of your Movado, it will last for a very, very long time. The Luno looks to be no exception to this rule.

Movado this the right thing with the choice of crystal. The Luno’s sapphire crystal is a must have for something this pricey. Expect this crystal to be in great shape 50 years from now when it’s time for you to pass this down to your son.

The band is the bomb . . . almost. Obviously, the unique draw to the Luno series is the half-moon design. At least that’s why I bought it vs. the other models. The butterfly clasp design conceals the latch mechanism for that continuous look, though their fedora “M” logo is acid etched on the last link. So why is the band only almost the bomb? It’s heavy, and it’s a bit too easy to scratch. I guess that’s what you get with stainless steel though. I’m wondering if a titanium band would have done a better job dropping the weight and improving on the hardness.

All of this for under $1000. I love that Movado is on the low-end of the high-end watches. For $409 (what I paid), this watch is more stylish and gets more compliments than Rolex, Omega, Longines, you name it. It keeps time just as accurately, and it draws just the appropriate amount of attention in the board room.

I haven’t been able to find any compelling deals on watches between the $500-$1000 mark, keeping in mind that this watch is ~$450. If you have a budget to stay under $1000 for a watch, then buy two of these.

Movado
Purchased both the men’s and women’s Luno. Had to return the mens due to a faulty clasp after bringing it to a jeweler to have the band shortened. Strange that Movado would let a watch leave the factory with such an obvious defect.

Brilliant!
I bought this watch nearly two months ago after waiting almost 4 months debating on whether or not to buy it. Should have purchased right away! Fits great on my wrist, has a nice weight to the watch-not too heavy, not to light. I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve received on this!

Thankfully the dial is scratch resistant as I have accidentally hit it on a metal rod without any damage.

Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a 400+ dollar watch! Great value. I took it to a Movado store in Chicago to validate the authenticity so I know its real.

    Well-Built and Fast!
    I have been using an HP DeskJet 3845 for about 4 years now, and while it was a basic printer, it did the job, but I felt like I could use an upgrade. I just happen to be doing some quick shopping when I noticed it in Staples. While I normally research everything before I buy something, this time I just bought it and I am very happy with it. Although the first one I bought wouldn’t recognize the black ink cartridge, a quick exchange back at the store fixed the problem.

    I’ve been using the printer for a day now and so far I don’t notice anything wrong with it. Compared to the 3845, this seems like a nice heavy-duty printer. The cover has small gears for the hinges, so when you close the cover it will slowly bring it down, so it doesn’t slam down on you. The overall feel of the printer is thick (in a good sense) and it feels like something that will last for a long time.

    The wireless option is also very nice and I was able to quickly set it up on my Mac with an Airport Extreme base station and it will be able to free up a USB port which for me, is very much needed.

    The speed of the prints is amazing and is quieter than my old printer. From a few quick photo tests I did, the quality is very nice. I’m printing on Stapes Photo Plus Gloss 4×6 and the prints come out very nice and clean.

    Overall I am very happy with the printer and hope it will last a long time.

    Wireless Printing Is a Miracle

    I followed the setup instructions without difficulty, and had the printer running in less than 10 minutes. Installation on my wife’s laptop was even faster.

    Printing is fast, and the quality of text is good enough for routine document printing. Color printing is also good, though not stunning.

    As you can see from the video, print time is within seconds, and on my network, indistinguishable from a wired connection. There’s little printer “rocking”, and the 6988 is quiet.

    As for HP’s bundled software, I haven’t had any issues with it, as I simply hit the “print” button and the printer works.

    Once you have a wireless printer, you’ll never go back to a wired connection. Everyone in range of the printer can print a document. The printer can be placed anywhere within the house, with the only cord being the power supply.

    Wireless printing has been “in the offing” for a long time, and the 6988 finally makes it practical, affordable, and easy.

    Not as good as it seems to be
    The printer at draft speed (fastest) does not grab the paper correctly and the impression starts to get “shifted”. This happens occasionally, and almost 100% of the times if the file you are printing has more than 8 pages.

    Wireless & hassle-free
    I bought the HP deskjet 6988 because I wanted wireless printing from any computer in the house. I have a new Dell PC with Vista, and because Vista is relatively new, I was concerned that there might be some glitches in getting the printer to work. Wrong! The set up was extremely clear and easy, and the printer works wonderfully! Occasionally, the printer will get offline, but all I have to do is restart the printer, and it’s back to work. The concerns I read from other reviewers about it being loud/shaking were unfounded. Also, there IS a pull-out paper catch tray, you just have to extend it out. The last “complaint” I want to address is the “sticky residue left from a large sticker on the front of the printer.” Well, mine didn’t have any stickers on it, so I have no idea what that is about. Overall, the ease of having a wireless printer is incredible. Our other desktop computer is about 40 feet from the printer, and on a different floor, and it prints like a charm. The print quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend this printer.

    Great Printer
    I bought this product so my dad and I could share one printer. I was surprised to see how many bad reviews it had. I think it’s the best printer for the best price. I mean it isn’t the best printer I’ve ever used but I’m not willing to pay $500 for one either. I’ve always loved HP products and even though the software that comes with it is kind of ‘bulky’, one can simply go to their website and just download the driver. The printer works great for the price and the ink is a good price too.

    Don’t Get Ripped Off
    Wow, this is a fantastic band, and I highly recommend buying their albums, but do NOT buy the “factory sealed” ones for $40 bucks if you can get the CD “factory sealed” directly from Alternative Tentacles for $12. Ridiculous.

    Makes you bounce against the walls!
    If my personality was music it would sound just like that. Wobbly bass lines, crunchy guitar riffs and frying pan drums. This is very uneasy music not for sensentive ears. If there is crazier music in this solar system then I haven’t heard it.

    Approaching perfection
    Victim’s Family is one of my all-time favorite bands, hands-down. There’s no other band on earth that can mix politics with humor as they can, no other band that chooses to apply their immense talent to such a creative style of music, no other band that sounds so different from everything else yet always sounds like itself. This band has balls, and a true punk-rock spirit, even if their music isn’t your everyday punk-rock (thankfully).

    This is probably the best-produced, most accessible Victim’s Family album, although "accessible" is definitely a relative term when used to describe their music. I tend to like some of their earlier stuff a little better, but this album has no real weak spot. Also, Ralph’s singing has improved quite a bit for this album.

    As far as the vocals go: You either love them or you hate them. I have many friends who have listened to VF and said "Damn, that band would be cool if they just had better vocals." I completely disagree. In his own way, Ralph is one of the best punk vocalists out there. Nobody screams like Ralph, and few vocalists put themselves out on a limb like he does. Considering that he is not the best vocalist in a traditional sense, I think that takes balls, and exemplifies the "Who gives a *$@# what you think" attitude of the band. If you aren’t able to appreciate the vocals immediately, give it some time. The vocals sound "punk," perhaps more so than the majority of punk bands, which is perhaps why I like them so much. But don’t worry, I’m not the kind of poseur who thinks music sounds better on scratched vinyl.

    Not quite the whole package
    Yet another classic example of fantastic musicianship ruined by putrid vocals. On this album, I would give the band credit for two things: 1)The music 2)Mixing the vocals far enough in the background that they are not too big of a distraction. While I can appreciate artisically what he is trying to do, these vocals are a major disappointment compared to the rest of the music. And while there are even a few moments where it seems like, if only for a brief second, that he might pull it off, for most of the album he is whailing in and out of key like a drunken David Sardy, and in a theatrical sense that reeks of just a bit too much cheese. Don’t get me wrong, I know this music is not the easiest style to sing to, but that’s what makes it so much easier to appreciate band like Coinmonster who can pull it off and put together the entire package. All in all though, I would say worth checking out if only for the tight, and occasionally astounding musicianship. Especially for fellow musicians and fans of art/prog rock, funk fusion, punk and prog metal.

    Music for musicians
    Victims Family is a california based power trio. Headache Remedy was the first album of thiers I owned, buying it a couple of years ago. I was very impressed with it and have since ordered all of thier albums. Look, like the other reviewer stated (and was right on the mark in doing so) if you think new Metallica is super awesome and hard or Creed is pure rock and roll—don’t get any Victims Family….you would be doing yourself a major disservice when your small feeble mind tells you to take it out of the CD player.
