Love this machine
My husband and I everyday were standing in line for our lattes at Starbucks. We have had this machine for over a year now and every day make our favorite latte drink. The machine has more than paid for itself by not having to purchase the expensive starbucks anymore. We have not had any problems, it is easy to use. Would highly recommend to anyone that loves their coffee drinks.

Easy to use, but poor reliability
We had this machine for about two months and it was great when it was working but eventually we started getting an error message that the door was not closed even though it was. I was able to reset it once by unplugging it for a few hours and plugging it in again, but a few days later we got the same error message.

We had a Jura Capresso F7 before this and ending up returning two of those because similar problems before purchasing this machine. These new automatic machines are easy to use and make great espresso, but it seems like the technology is still pretty buggy so beware.

Great Coffee — Great Machine
We decided to try the SAECO Incanto RS SBS Classic after researching several “high end” automatic coffee makers, and we have not been disappointed in the choice. Easy to clean/maintain, easy manual, intuitive controls, and great coffee (and cappucino). Since we have only had the Incanto for a little over one month, it is premature to comment on reliability — but not a single problem to date. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the coffeemaker.

    I love my Baby-G Waveceptor Atomic Watch
    I received the Baby-G Waveceptor Atomic Timekeeping watch a few days after I placed my order. It has a nice size round dial and white durable band. I love the styling and ease of use. Although it does have hands, you use the buttons on the sides to make them go around. It’s way cool. I love the simplicity of it yet it has all the bells and whistles I wanted. Since I live in a warm climate year round, I like to use this watch while swimming daily. It’s perfect. I really recommend this watch. I love Casio Products.

    Best Watch Ever
    I love this watch and the fact that I don’t have to fiddle with it when the time changes from daylight saving to regular. I also have it set to give me the time in England with just the push of one button as I have a granddaughter studying there now. I only wish I could change the band and I may be able to do that with the right tool.

    Big
    This is a very big watch. BIG. Not only diameter-wise, but it’s thick so it sits high off of the wrist. I like the look of it, and it seems like it would work really well (I’m sure it would, my husband has a man’s version and has had it for years) but it was so enormous that I sent it back. If they made it half the size, or even just 2/3rds the size, I would LOVE to own one.

    It’s beautiful, very very useful, looks great on her, great to use whenever. She’s so happy with it that she doesn’t even uses her other watches anymore. Ok, it’s kinda huge, but, as she says, it’s stylish… must be a woman’s thing.

    Works but Look for Less Expensive Options
    I purchased this product for the 160 mg Classic iPod. Turns out it’s the same one as the 80mg and I could have gotten it much cheaper if I ordered that.

    Overall the product does keep you iPod safe. The one main flaw in the design is you have to open the case to get to the lock switch. This makes no sense as you then have to expose the iPod to the elements.

    The headset I didn’t end up using as they weren’t very comfortable.

    shipping rates too high
    There is no way a product as small and light as this justifies such a high shipping rate. It’s a total ripoff.

    Good product but. could be improved.
    I am a gadget guy, I have piles of electronics and computer add-on’s everywhere and all of them seem to use some special cable. I was constantly going through piles of power supplies and cords trying to figure out what went to what. Until I bought some of these.

    They work great, are easy to attach and remove and there is no more guessing as to what this power supply or cable goes to anymore.

    However, I really wish that they would have made them hold a paper insert so they could be re-used instead of writing on them. That would be my one suggestion to improve on the design, however since they are out to sell you as many as they can I don’t see it happening. They are reasonably priced in my opinion so it is not much of an issue.

    So if you have piles of cables you need to keep track of like me these are a necessity!

    What did we do before Kableflags?
    These little tags are absolutely wonderful! I used them on all of the plugs behind my computer and ordered more for all of the plus that I have connecting all of the VCRs, DVD players, converters, etc., behind my TV. I also used them to flag the connections to my wireless router - my PC, my husband’s PC, etc. We just moved and I flagged everything. The next time things are moved or changed around it will be SO much easier. I will never again have to crawl behind the computer to figure out which plug belongs to what. These are great for the USB hubs too!

    Thunder shakes it up
    I bought this for my son for Xmas and he loves the game. It’s one of the few games that he has had for over a week and has yet to beat it. My son says that the dinosaurs and monsters are fantastic. He gets so engrossed in it that I actually have some quiet time for myself. This game was the best buy!

    A Sound of Thunder
    Originally, A Sound of Thunder was for the ps2, xbox, gamecube, and gba. But it got cancelled and it is only for the gameboy, and it is a great game. It is about a tourist on a time travel safari to hunt dinosaurs in the jurassic age and accidently changes the course of evolution that affects the future in drastic ways. The graphics are good for a gba, and the sound is ok. In the game you get to solve many puzzles, use different items, drive vehicles and shoot mutant creatures and plants while trying to stay alive in the game. Some guns you will get is an assault rifle, shotgun, grenade launcher, and stun prod. The monsters you will face are spider-cats, wolf-crocs, rhino-bulls, stag-dragons, and many hybrid animals and ferocious bosses. This is a good game to have on your gameboy advance with its great graphics and it excellent story line.

    “A Kind Of Magnificence.”
    This 1989 film version of SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH based on the play by Tennessee Williams stars Elizabeth Taylor and Mark Harmon. She is a fading movie actress (Alexandra Del Lago) while he (Chance Wayne) is her driver/escort/confidante/gigolo/actor-want-to-be. The plot is classic Williams: the vulnerable, beautiful woman cast opposite the sexy stud but with a twist since Alexandra has a steeliness reminiscent of Maggie in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF. Both characters use each other for a quid pro quo: sex for furthering one’s acting career. Thrown in for good measure are old-style demagoguery of the 1950’s politician, racism, segregation, abortion and adultery. Add to that The theme of the perils of growing old, particularly if one has accomplished little (Chance); and you have quite a lot going on and a plot that does not always work.

    Ms. Taylor remains tremendously beautiful here even with big hair and the essential lavender costumes. She plays again the role that she has done many times before, the exotic (often Southern but not always) woman (CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, REFLECTIONS IN A GOLDEN EYE, RAINTREE COUNTY, et cetera). At times she seems to be playing Elizabeth Taylor; on the other hand, it’s great to watch her do only that. A character in the film describes Alexandra as having a “kind of magnificence.” I have no words better to describe this screen legend.

    Although by no means a perfect film, SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH is certainly worth watching.

    This had to have been Liz’s last ‘glamour’ role. To be honest, I expected full-blown schlock and that’s what I got. All I could focus on throughout the movie was how the camera was trying to camouflage this once great beauty’s girth and double chin! Hellen Mirren’s Karen Stone (in Willaims’ “The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone”) is a much more authentic, and moving, portrayal of the consequences of the ravages of time - for a former stage&screen beauty and, indeed, for any of us. Best part of the movie for me was the flash of Mark Harmon’s pretty butt - but my, what bushy eyebrows! ps - Fuggettabout Princess del Lago: Whatever happened to “Sexiest Man of the Year” Mark Harmon?! Therein, I suppose, lies Williams’ not-so-surprising message…

    Tennessee Williams
    You have to really get the mood set to be an adapt actor for a Tennessee Williams production. I have seen Elizabeth Taylor do a couple of his works. In Sweet Bird of Youth she is just not Elizabeth Taylor but the ageing actress the way Williams would have wanted it. I believe Mark Harmon gave a good performan much different from Paul Newman. As I was watching it kept me interested. Individuals could learn much from this film if they just listen. Tennesse Williams had a message and it sure comes accross.

    Star vehicle gets stuck in the mud
    Though I’m only giving it two stars, this is not as bad a film as you’d think. And considering the price, I really shouldn’t be complaining at all. After shining in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and “Suddenly Last Summer,” Elizabeth Taylor should be justified in claiming the crown as the quintessential Tennessee Williams actress. In one sense, she was a perfect choice to play the aging actress hiding behind the identity of the “Princess Kosmonopolis” in SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH. But Taylor is an actor who needs strong direction (think of what she an Mike Nichols accomplished in WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF). What could have been every bit as good as the performance Geraldine Page turned in for Richard Brooks in the 1962 film is, in fact, something of a campfest–more of an Elizabeth Taylor impersonation than a true dramatic performance. (But then, is there a non-campy way to deliver the line, “Stupid, beautiful young man, that’s my hash”?) As best as I could tell, this made-for-tv version of the play is closer to what Williams wrote than Brooks’ theatrical release. (Back then, theater took more risks than movies ever did.) Although the Taylor movie is set in the 1950s the same as the play, it doesn’t capture the mood of that period very well. In fact, when the Princess’s traveling companion Chance Wayne (played by Mark Harmon) tries to blackmail her into giving him a movie contract (by tape recording her confessions about her drug use), the act seems downright implausible. When Paul Newman did the same in Brooks’s film, it struck me more as a pathetic and ineffectual act, one that revealed Chance’s boyish naivite and charm. In general, the remake is a conglomeration of unexplored nuances andd missed opportunities. Much of the film is shot in close-up and softened amber tones, giving it the feel of a daytime drama. (Tennessee Williams’s plays are already dangerously close to being soap operas; they don’t need an extra push.)

    As for the play itself, I consider it to be the best of the second-tier Williams plays (the first tier consisting of THE GLASS MENAGERIE, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER, and THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA). Many of the great Williams themes are here: abuse of power, the predatory nature of sexuality, the human fascination with youth and beauty, and the delicate nature of society’s outcasts. What I find interesting about this play is how when the play opens we are exposed to the Princess’s obsessive concern about growing old and losing her physical attractiveness, but by the end of the play this obsession has been transferred to the male lead, to Chance. The Princess is the steely survivor, Chance is the one who suffers and is destroyed (like Blanche DuBois before him) by his inability to adapt and move on. This play is definitely worth seeing. My hope is that Richard Brooks’ superior (but not perfect) film will be made available on DVD (with extras!).

    A Good Value
    I play a lot of games, and wanted a larger screen and good response compared to my 17″ CRT. This fit the bill at a great price. It came with one dead pixel, it’s blue and only noticeable in with dark backgrounds and even then, only by me because I know where it is. There is noticeable bleading along the top and sides, but again, its not enough to take away from the other pros, in particular, the price. If you are looking for 22″ in this price range, it’s a good way to go, plus it came with the DVI cord. You can certainly do better, but unless you hit a short-term sale/clearance, you are going to pay more.

    Whole bunch of monitor for not much dinero. I don’t really do any heavy gaming on the PC, so not sure what the performance is like in that arena, but for general business stuff and occasional videos, it’s just great. No complaints.

    Great purchase
    Best price i could find on a 22″ widescreen, and its bright and clear through DVI.

    Acer 22″ monitor
    This screen is a great size, crystal clear and installed easily with my xp media center edition op system.

    The only thing is- at the bottom, the little stand is still attached, even though I have it attached to the wall via a back mount.

    I cannot seem to take the bottom stand off or move it out of sight.

    Apart from that; great monitor and a great price.

    Too much bleed, iffy support services
    I’m a professional web designer and this is the seventh LCD monitor I have purchased in the past ten years. My pickyness-level may be slightly higher than the average user, but I don’t think by much.

    I bought this product on the strength of many of the written reviews here at Amazon. I now wish I had read a little more deeply into the reviews, however, to see that many other customers had had problems with the contrast bleed, which I describe in more detail below.

    It is certainly an outstanding price for a monitor of this size, but the overall quality is a touch lower than I can tolerate. Below are my comments after using the monitor for about three weeks now.

    PROS

    - PRICE. Good price for such a big monitor

    - TRUE WHITE. The white is a “true” white — not tinged with blue, etc.

    - NO DEAD PIXELS. I have observed no dead pixels anywhere on the screen.

    - CRISP. The picture quality is very crisp when the monitor is set to its native resolution. (You know to always set it to its native resolution, right?)

    - FREE SHIPPING. With Amazon Prime, I got free, fast delivery.

    - AMAZON RETURN POLICY. So far I’ve been very pleased with Amazon’s return policies.

    CONS

    - SHORT, WOBBLY STAND. As several other reviewers have noted, the stand is short and somewhat wobbly. I’m a bit tall, which exacerbates the shortness problem, but I was able to address this by putting the stand on top of a thick book, raising the monitor to the ideal height, where the top of the monitor is even with my eyes.

    - IFFY SUPPORT FROM MANUFACTURER. I contacted the manufacturer (more about this below) about some problems and their support was so-so. I’m not sure I’d relish having them provide warranty service on a monitor. I’ve grown accustomed to companies, like Dell, that normally send you a replacement BEFORE asking you to return a defective computer part.

    - TOO MUCH BLEED. Light colors at the top of the screen appear rather dark, but are washed out (almost white) near the bottom of the screen. This is what is known as “bleed” and it’s worse than I’ve experienced with any other LCD monitor.

    Although the manufacturer touts a “160 degree viewing angle” this is completely untrue. There is a sweet spot (when the top of the monitor is even with my eyes) where the colors on the top 80% of the screen are acceptable. The bottom 20% of the screen is washed out, however, and the degradation is gradual, such that the contrast levels never look consistent from top to bottom. Only by moving my head lower does the content on the bottom of the screen stop appearing washed out. And by then, the top of the screen appears too dark.

    I contacted the manufacturer, Acer, about this problem — specifically, to find out whether this is a defect in my particular monitor (in which case I would exchange it for another of the same model from Amazon) or is normal for this monitor (in which case I would simply return it and purchase a different model).

    When I called Acer, I got a gruff-sounding support representative who complained he couldn’t hear me … so I tried submitting a tech support request on their web site instead. I got a prompt response, telling me “Based on the information provided I suggest your Acer product be checked by our authorized repair depot” — and providing a link on their web site to locate a technician, where I could presumably take in the monitor or mail it in to be checked out.

    Uh, no thanks. I shouldn’t have to send in a brand new monitor for inspection by a technician. My guess is that they get this question frequently, and it was a bit of a stock answer designed to help reduce their rate of returns, since most people don’t have time to send in a monitor for evaluation, and the problem is ALMOST acceptable.

    So I’m now returning the monitor to Amazon for a refund. I was able to find the same size monitor (22-inch widescreen) for about the same price from Dell, and so I’ve ordered my replacement there. I’ve had my share of frustrations with Dell, but at least they send me replacements before asking me to return a defective product, and that counts for a lot, in my book.
