    There’s a trick!!!
Runnig out of ink. This is what I always do.

    1) Take the ink tank and slowly rinse with water. (do this in a sink for about 30 seconds)

    2) For about 5 minutes, dry the ink tank so ink doesn’t leak out when held up.

    3) Put the tank back into the printer.

    4) Run a nozzle check.

    You will see results!!!

    No, it isn’t just you,…
I have had exactly the same experience. I get 10-15 pages per *expensive* ink tank, if I’m lucky. I take most of my printing to the local library, rather than pay approximately $1.00 per page at home to print anything out.

    Is it just me?
I only get about 10-15 copies per ink tank on this one. I don’t use it often, but at least twice a month for 10 copies each. It’s happened three times now. I’m thinking “what a worthless piece of junk.”

    Great…but you can get cheaper.
I have a Canon 2010 printer. I don’t use it that much, and the ink will dry over time while IN the printer. So I usually only get about 10 color prints out of these ink tanks…So I usually buy the Nectron Compatible InkJet Cartridge, it’s cheaper, and it functions the same. But there’s nothing wrong with this…other then the fact that it slowly dries out.

    No problems at all…
I have a Canon BJC-2010 printer, and have had no problems with this item, nor the BCI-21 (black) tank. I get an average of 75-100 copies with this system, and it works great–dries fast, and doesn’t blob.

    DLO HomeDock Deluxe for iPod

  • Silver and black finish; measures 5.8 x 1 x 3.8 inches (W x H x D); 90-day warranty

    Customer Reviews:
    Sluggish, but enjoyable
    PROS:

    - On-screen iPod menu controls (DLO proprietary interface, not a clone of what’s on your iPod menus)

    - Displays song and album art of what’s playing (though not full-screen)

    - Plays video and music through your home theater system.

    - Continues to charge your iPod when dock is put on Standby.

    - Remote control (also simple to find a replacement on DLO’s website, if say, someone dropped it onto a hardwood floor and broke it)

    CONS:

    - Remote control range is somewhat limited.

    - The dock’s response time is slower than desired. There’s noticeable lag between the time you hit a button on the remote and the time it’s reflected on screen.

    EXTRA TWO CENTS:

I’m not sure why it’s so complicated to design a dock such as this one. There has to be a big market for iPod docks that connect to home theater systems and feature onscreen controls and displays.

This dock was one of the few out there that would charge my iPod, display menu navigation onscreen, and play through my home theater system.

Sound is fine but remote and graphic ability are terrible
Well an Ipod is basically about music and this does mate well with my Denon receiver and surround sound system. The sound is excellent once you balance the remote volume with your systems volume. As so many others are saying the problems arise with the remote itself. It is very tempermental and often requires several pushes of the button to change songs or perform other navigations. It also seems like there is a very narrow line-of-sight ability between the remote and the dock. Sitting off center can often render the remote useless (not good). Also, I couldn’t find a way to shuffle songs within a playlist. I could either play a playlist in order or shuffle the entire Ipod library . . . but couldn’t shuffle within a playlist (not good).

It has the ability to display various screen savers on your television which are mostly pretty cheezy, primitive and silly. I didn’t care for a single one personally. Most oddly it will NOT display photos within your Ipod at all! However, it supposedly will display videos stored on your Ipod. This makes zero sense. I’m not into album art and that’s good because you aren’t going to get any! I’ll sum it up by saying it’s a great dock for audio but all the other features are either junk in performance or non-existant. DLO (or someone else) can indeed improve this product and when they do “THAT” will be a killer product.

    Worthless dock
The homedock deluxe is great if you want to be forced to use a TV to use your ipod. if you want to integrate your ipod to your stereo or your whole house audio system it’s worthless unless you enjoy turning on a TV to use your ipod.

Why DLO decided that nobody wants to use the screen on the ipod is anyone guess, but this dock is worthless for most users.

get the Apple dock or the now discontinued DLO home dock standard. it does not hijack the ipod’s screen and allows you to use the ipod without a Tv set.

    a cosmic dissapointment
the concept for this product was something i was really interested in. but even right out of the box it was having problems. the scrolling is not only primitive but freezes often. the product itself also doesnt do things it is advertised as doing, for instance album art does not show up, only a grey box LAYERED OVER the song title with the dlo logo in it. i checked the website and it said that the company printed the manual before the product was completed so thats supposed to explain the inconsistencies. i returned it promptly, and bought an rca cable with an 1/8 inch end so i could just play it out of my stereo.

    Works for me
In reading comments in the iPod forums I have learned that in the latest 5.5g iPods Apple disabled the video output to any docks that don’t have a compatible chip. Therefore, it’s important to make sure you have the latest model of this HomeDock if you want to use it for video. So that may explain some user issues here. The latest models of HomeDock seem to have that chip while the older ones do not.

As for mine, it works as advertised with a couple bugs. The 70 TV shows and movies I have on my iPod are listed by the order I added them and there is no way to resort them alphabetically.

Occasionally, my iPod doesn’t charge on the HomeDock. If I am not paying attention, I have worn my battery down playing videos or music whilst using the HomeDock so when I remove it to take on the road the battery is nearly dead. The workaround it to unplug and plug it back in when I mount the iPod on it.

Otherwise, the picture and sound are good on my 27″ standard def TV. The menus are configurable. The remote allows you to navigate your iPod, play music or videos, fast forward or go back, raise or lower the volume and put it on mute and other basic functions.

    egyptian version-mahjongg
It sounded good and I truly like playing mahjong-however, this version does not give enough tips on strategys. Got to level 5 and at that point the game never changed layouts-it was set to defeat the player-2 pieces show up in exactly the same spots each time-spots than cannot be played together within the games own rules-therefore, I found it disappointing.

    Perfect Sound
Mr. Haddick’s (previous reviewer) description of this recording, and the legendary symphony that made it, is right on the money. What you have here is that rare moment in time when forces combine to create something much larger than the sum of its’ parts. The world-renowned conductor - Fritz Reiner, directing the brilliant and fiery Symphonic Dynamo known as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, playing the most powerfully emotive music ever written. It is, indeed, a combination of elements that creates The Perfect Sound.

I too give this the “6-star” review, as yet unavailable to the Amazon Reviewing World.

    Outstanding !
Fritz Reiner’s characteristic interpretation combined with the awesome power of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s truly legendary brass section of the time combine to make this recording a “must have” for any Wagnerian or brass enthusiast. The way the music flows so beautifully with such control and yet achieving a dynamic range with so much contrast is something you have to hear to believe. This one recording moved this humble listener more than any other bar none. If I could give it six stars I would.

    Customer Reviews:
    fun stuff
I bought this for my nephew. It is kind of price-y for the amount of pieces you get, but boy is it neat. I had so much fun making things with the magnets, I thought I would like to get them myself. This is a solid product.

Just finished playing Magnetix for 2 hours
My eight-year-old daughter and I have played with Magnetix for a couple of years now. She pulled them out again a two nights ago, and we made a some fun things.

Today was the big shopping day after Thanksgiving. I picked up a couple of 100-piece tubes of Magnetix parts on sale. We just got done playing with them for two hours. I must say, it was fun.

I understand the risk of ingesting the magnets. Our daughter is old enough that she can open child-proof bottles, so there are literally hundreds of items in this household which can harm her. I am not concerned about this toy. To be a fully-informed consumer, you should google “CPSC magnetix” and decide for yourself. I’ve decided to play. The product has been redesigned and is still for sale, as know if you are reading this on amazon.

Here’s a hint: the basic pieces (rods & balls) are the most fun. The squares and triangles aren’t really necessary, but the longer rods and flex rods are useful.

    Have fun!

Not just choking hazard, destroys intestines and kills childrean
The magnets are so powerful that they are destroying the intestines of children, resulting in a painful death. FINALLY, a recall is underway, thanks to KOMO TV in Seattle.

A CHILD JUST DIED FROM THIS TOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have seen this toy in the stores and my just turned 4 yr. old has asked for it repeatedly, but with a 2 yr. old sibling, I knew it wasn’t safe to have around. But I cannot believe that this toy even exists! I do not care what the age requirement is, tiny magnetic ball bearings should not be considered a toy. So I child just died from this toy. I HOPE THEY TAKE IT OFF THE MARKET! Please push for this–do what you can so another child doesn’t lose his/her life!

March 20, 2006 - The idea of Magnetix is to build different shapes and designs with small plastic pieces - bound together by tiny, powerful magnets.

The box boasts “mega-magnetic power” and warns of a choking hazard to small children.

Penny Sweet’s 2-year-old son, Kenny, died Thanksgiving Day after swallowing tiny magnets from the toy - but he didn’t choke.

“The fact that he’s gone is just,” Sweet said. “It’s so difficult to sleep at night and wake up in the morning, and go through the day without him.”

An autopsy found two tiny magnets stuck in Kenny’s small intestine. Doctors say the magnets were so strong that they joined two ends of his small intestine, pinching it shut. As a result, bacteria were forced into his bloodstream - killing him.

The magnets are so strong they’re hard to pull apart - but they are supposed to be encased in plastic pieces. The little pieces are not supposed to be loose, and came out of the larger pieces.

Sweet said the toy was defective because the tiny magnets easily came loose.

Other parents are now reporting close calls with the same problem - including a 5-year-old hospitalized in Seattle.

The cases led to an extraordinary news conference from leading health officials warning parents about the toy.

    Doctors Say Stay Away

“Don’t let small children play with the toys,” said Dr. Richard Harruff, a King County medical examiner. “And supervise any child playing with the toy.”

Dr. Daniel Leadbetter saved one boy’s life after performing emergency surgery and finding the magnets caught in an intestine.

“We found he had some holes in his intestine leaking out bacteria,” said Leadbetter of the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

In a statement to ABC News, the toy’s manufacturer points out that Magnetix has passed all federal safety requirements and that the box features prominent small part hazard warnings.

    Horrible Product!
This product is awful! So dangerous to have around your house! Although the manufacturer lists choking hazard, it does not list that swallowing the product could cause death! The magnets have a tendancy to come out of the rods with play and become only the size of peas, very easy to lose and get into the hands of a young child or pet. If the magnets are ingested in the body, they can connect together inside places such as the colon and cause a blockage that could kill an individual. This happened here in Seattle to a little boy. Do NOT purchase this product if you have young children or pets around at all.
