    Sucks!
This one could not hold on to the GPS at all…

The GPS kept falling, after few times the GPS stopped working and eventually I had to send the GPS for replacement.

Then I bought GPS accessory for holding the GPS, though slightly more expensive than this one, it is worth it.

Instead of wasting money on this one, I advise people to go for original GPS accessory. This one costed me around ~$20 and the one from Garmin costed ~$27 (both with shipping).

Actually I am not able to rate it with zero(0), so I had to give atleast a 1 star to post this comment.

    Great friction mount
Very fast shipping by vendor. There were no instructions with this product but if you keep the GPS mounting surface clean, make sure your dash is not dirty and keep the silicon base clean (don’t sit it on a dirty floor mat)this product works great. I use it with a Magellan 4250 and it is very stable.

    Excellent Base
This is a great universal friction mount. I used to own a Nuvi 350 with Garmin friction mount. Unfortunately, Garmin friction mount only works with Garmin unit and does not work with my new TomTom One XL-S.

i.Trek mount base is heavy and solid. I especially like the universal design. The bottom has rubber anti-skid pad which sticks to my dash better than Garmin friction mount.

Both Garmin and TomTom factory windshield mounts are pretty useless which becomes weak after few weeks of use. I strongly recommend Arkon suction cup windshield mounts. It works great with i.Trek friction mount base. I have not experienced mount falling off even once during past 5 months of use.

    Disappointing and dangerous
At first, this unit worked great. A couple of weeks later, the Garmin suction unit kept falling off it. Thankfully, my Garmin GPS unit was not on it. This happened more and more as time went on. I finally put tape on the Garmin suction unit to hold it securely onto this base.

Take Garmin’s advice and buy one of theirs. It has a fixed mount on the base which does not come off. It was too late for me to change the order from Semson (the manufacturer), but Garmin said they would match their price…

    great gift
I bought this for my mom for Christmas. She likes how easy it is for her to use. It arrived on time and in great condition.

    The Last Great Fellini Film
After 8 films, having acquired the status of an Italian icon (a much criticized one, of course, as with all Italian icons, which Italians - and Italo-Americans like me - take particular joy in tearing down) and overwhelming international fame, Fellini felt himself trapped, boxed in by demands and expectations and unable to create. So he shattered the box, threw away his script and wrote this outrageous, self regarding, egoistic, surreal and utterly brilliant meditation on ….himself! His predicament, his creative problems, his loves, his childhood, his aging, his fantasies. As in the most famous scene, he takes the whip and makes the elements of his life dance around him… at least until he is overwhelmed. And, for most folks, it works utterly. You are swept away in the swirl of images and emotions, and willingly allow yourself to go along for the ride. The world, as with most of the reviewers here, loved it. After all, despite the relentlessly inward focus of the film, these concerns of life, love and aging are our own concerns, too. His unforgettable images resonate with most of us. Although not everyone is willing to go along for this particular ride, as attested to by the much smaller number of extremely negative reviews. Hey, if you don’t like the roller coaster, don’t get on one!

But once you have taken such an extreme and self indulgent step - where do you go next? Sadly, that is one problem which Fellini never solved. After this, he mostly just made “Fellini films”, repeating the same motifs and images that once seemed so daring, far past the point of self parody. To be sure, there are some wonderful moments in “Amarcord” and “Roma”. In fact he rarely made a film without some things of real interest. But never again was he anywhere near as consistently good, as much on the cutting edge of international film, as he was in the ten years from 1953 to 1963. I Vitelloni (1953), La Strada (1954), Nights of Cabiria (1957), La Dolce Vita (1960), 8 1/2 (1963): How many directors have a run like that, with so many unforgettable images?

    Italian Film Classic
Excellent Film by Fellini. A bit of a break from Italian Neo-Realism, but it works and it must be seen numerous times in order to get further into the meaning of what he is projecting or attempting to get across to the audience.

Beautifully honest depiction of ones struggle to create…

    Customer Reviews:
    Great Little Recorder
The Olympus Microcassette Recorder S711 is the perfect utensil for corporate meetings, fun stuff, and stuff you know you want to remember. At first, when searching I’d looked towards Sony for their microcassette recorders. Sony is also tiny, well made, and worth the price compared to the Olympus. But I wanted to test the Olympus out.

    Pros

-Large, easy to use buttons. Looks SHARP in solid blue!

-Allows 2 type of speeds. A 60 minute tape becomes a 120, etc.

-From a name brand that you trust

    -Cheap, but accurate

-3 tapes with 90 mins. can hold more than some digital recorders which top $50

    Cons

    -No tape counter

Overall, I rate the Olympus 4 stars. It isn’t too big or small, and it is accurate. It allows you to record with microcassette tapes, and has been proven much better than a digital voice recorder. I’m glad that I own it, and I would like you to have it too.

    Olympus microcasset
    Xcellent performance,

    Records over an old tape,

    Great for Music,Driving Directions,Studying,Grocery shopping,etc.

    Very reasonably priced.

Comes with Tape and Batteries Ready to Use.

    GREAT!
This is my second recorder and recording and playback are far superior to my Sony recorder. The mic and speaker reproduce decently crisp recordings. For a low-end recorder, this is a great option for the money.

    Memory Helper
I bought this to keep in my car so I wouldn’t have to try and write everytime I need to remember something while I’m driving. Unfortunately it’s cumbersome and not easy to use if you’re driving. It’s OK but I wouldn’t buy it unless you’re looking for something inexpensive and not to be used in the car. It’s probably fine for classroom use but for driving you would need something different.

Good for voice note, not that good for music practice
    So-so for me.

I would have given it 5 stars if I use it only for voice note. It does what it is supposed to, and it does it well.

However, it didn’t work well for my daughter’s violin lesson. The idea was she records herself and/or her teacher, and later she plays along with the recorded thing for practice.

The problem is, the recorded notes sound always a bit higher than originally played on the instrument. I guess the tape speed is faster when playing back than when recording, for some reason. Maybe you wouldn’t notice at first, but as soon as you try to play along with the tape it becomes apparent.

Probably I was hoping too much for an inexpensive microcasette recorder, though. I wouldn’t blame the manufacturer.

A fascinating glimpse into a nearly forgotten animated world.
A film archivist in Burbank, California named Ken Kramer bought several reels of movie film, paying $50 to the guy who was selling them just to get rid of him. The haul was mostly movie trailers. Then, he struck pure cinematic gold. Four of the reels contained a series of theatrical cartoons that were thought to have been lost forever. The 9 cartoons had the look and feel of vintage 1940s Disney with a liberal splash of Looney Tunes lunacy. Each was identified as “A David Hand ANIMALAND Cartoon”.

A phone call to Leonard Maltin revealed David Hand to be the same David Hand who was Walt Disney’s supervising director of the animated features “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “Bambi”. After progressing as far as he could in the enforced anonymity of the Disney studios, Hand was lured to England by J. Arthur Rank to establish a similar animation studio on the British Isles. The “Animaland” cartoons were released theatrically in Europe but could never find an American distributor, possibly because of pressure from Warner Bros., MGM, Columbia Pictures and Hand’s former employer, one Walter Elias Disney, all of whom had their own thriving animation divisions.

When the Rank Organisation closed Hand’s studio, the fate of the “Animaland” cartoons remained a mystery for the past 50 years. Hand returned to the USA and turned his back on animation. He spent most of the rest of his career producing industrial training films. In Europe, 4 “Animaland” cartoons eventually turned up and were released on home video overseas. They were thought to be the ONLY extant specimens.

Flash forward to Ken Kramer’s incredible find. The 9 cartoons are, to date, the biggest collection from the series. The good news is that David Hand’s son, David Hale Hand, agreed to their release on home video in the USA. Since David Hale Hand owns the American rights to his father’s work, there are even plans for an animated feature film starring the cast of the “Animland” cartoons.

Many of the cartoons feature Ginger Nutt, a fiery red squirrel who’s easily as cute as Thumper the rabbit from “Bambi” but can be intimidating enough to fend off the 3 forest troublemakers Corny Crow, Dusty Mole and Loopy Hare. Ginger Nutt’s love interest is a female squirrel named Hazel. The rest of the cartoons are one-shots with obbligatory production numbers about such species as the cuckoo, the duck-billed platypus, the ostrich, the lion and the house cat.

Anyone who enjoys classic Disney and Warner animation won’t be able to stop watching these cartoons. They offer a glimpse into another cartoon world located somewhere between Disney’s unrelenting cuteness and Warner Bros. Looney Tune madness. There’s also a sense of sadness of what might have been, had David Hand been able to continue the series.

Thanks to this collection, Animaland will always be around, waiting for animation aficionados to pay a visit.

one of my favorite animated DVDs!
Animaland is an exceptionally clever and enjoyable collection of cartoon shorts, with the unique ability to keep the attention of both children and adults. David Hand and his production team did not simply mimic the style of Disney’s cartoons, but tried to push the envelope, developing clever plots, strange characters, and sometimes surreal settings. Most of the shorts are fast-paced action stories, with minimal dialog. When the characters do speak, they often have British accents. Some of the shorts are introduced by an off-screen British narrator, who, parodying instructional nature films, gives “scientific” information about the lead animal. The original music is catchy, perfectly timed with the visuals, and provides good instrumental sound effects. The animation is sophisticated, as we’d expect from Hand’s reputation as a key Disney animation director. My favorite is “The Ostrich” in which a male Ostrich steps into a two-dimensional Egyptian Hieroglyphic to pursue a female Ostrich. The vocal lyrics to that segment are hilarious, and the animation mesmerizing.

A few comments on the reviews below. Comparisons with Disney characters are misleading; Animaland characters have personalities of their own - often very British. The audio to the DVD is fabulous in view of the date of the source material. Yes, the cartoons are charming and comparatively wholesome, but we’re not talking Teletubbies here. The two words I’d use are “zany” and “intelligent”.

Charming, but the audio quality is very poor.
These are classic cartoons with a wonderful romantic quality, but I find the audio quality (or lack thereof) to be distracting at times.

    Wholesome Cartoons for Concerned Parents
Tired of the seeming lack of wholesome shows for kids? Concerned about what seems like an endless stream of materialism, immorality, etc. finding it’s way into even THEIR stuff too? We viewed ANIMALAND after borrowing from the Lancaster County public library. Not only do the vintage cartoons lack these things but they may actually learn something as well! Wish there were even more out there. THUMBS UP!

    Customer Reviews:
    Good Saw
Arrived with some deep scratches on the base near the miter adjustments. Amazon shipped me a replacement overnight.

The saw seems great. Stock blade is almost good enough for finish work.

The dual bevel adjustment seems a little haphazard. The dust bag is junk but does a decent job collecting roughly 2/3 the dust.

Everything else seems fine to me. Nice miter controls. I agree that a “D” handle would have been much more comfortable.

I bought it at $439, but got a refund for the difference when it dropped to $349. I would not again pay $439 for it, and definitely would not pay $500+ for it.

I do think it’s a great saw, though. Amazon service has been outstanding for me.

    Good saw but LOUD
As a full time carpenter, I’ve used this saw day in and day out for 2 years. My second Hitachi saw. Originally I had the old 8″ compound miter saw and used it daily until I finally wore it out after 10+ years. Bought this one as a replacement. Light, accurate, great laser, but this thing just screams. You’ll really need hearing protection when using it all day.

It’s not an issue with the blade. I use several different blades, it’s the electric brake. The soft start is nice and smooth, and not too bad noise wise, but let the trigger go and it really shrieks.

Other than that I would certainaly recommend it if you need a good dependable tool.

Just expect to say “What???” a lot at the end of the day.

Might seem to be a silly complaint, but I’ve had a significant hearing loss after working around power tools for the last 30+ years, so noise levels have become a criteria as important as accuracy and dependability in my book.

I *REALLY* wanted to like this saw…
and for what it costs, I should love it, but I don’t. It came with a bowed left fence. After two weeks, I still haven’t rec’d the replacement, so I can only make cuts from the right side. The right fence is about an inch tall, i.e. TINY. It slides smooth, and cuts wide stock. The blade it came with is good. The table is also pretty small. The saw I’m replacing is a five-year old 12″ Dewalt (dual bevel but no slider), which I still prefer, sad to say(bigger table and fences). A couple of colleagues have the 12″ Bosch slider, and love it, which at this point I wish I’d bought. Anybody want my Hitachi 10″ slider?

    Accurate Cuts and Repeatable Set-ups
After giving up an accurate 1980’s vintage “Skilsaw” 10″ Miter Saw for increased capacity only to experience many years of frustration from time and material wasted working, tuning and retuning a 12″ Dewalt Dual Bevel Compound Saw and a Delta 10″ Radial Arm Saw(returned to merchant),I decided to try the Hitachi C10FSB 10-Inch Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Saw.

I settled on the Hitachi C10FSB because of the reviews I have read and my personal experience with Hitachi Customer Service Call Center for a Hitachi Compressor I have owned for nine years.

I am 100% satisfied. Specificly the out of the box quality, uncomplicated manual and most of all the accuracy. The sliding tubes are smooth and have NO sloppy play. The adjustments are accessable and ledgable from the front of the saw which makes it practical for mounting to a permanent location. The dust bag and additional special attention designed into the saw guard surprisingly captures most of the dust generated. However I was able to insert 1 1/2″ PVC pipe in place of the supplied bag and a couple of 15 degree elbows and connect the Vacuume hose to it. No need to build a custom dust boot or a new configuration to the dust collector. Blade access is designed well without the need of a third hand to hold the guard out of the way while you are changing the blade. One wrench included fits most of the adjustment hardware including the blade. Minor detail but should mention the safety switch position takes some getting used to but it does keep you aware that you are about to start the saw.

Last comment, it is not a heavy brute to pickup and carry. Well balanced and configured. I plan on bragging about and keeping this saw for a LONG time.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
great saw love everything about it

wish the 12 slider was just like it
